Cuba's Informal Currency Market Sees Euro Surge Amid Dollar Stability

The informal currency market in Cuba has seen notable fluctuations as of September 3. The U.S. dollar remains relatively stable, exchanging at an average rate of 678 Cuban pesos (CUP), although its weekly trend indicates a gradual increase.

The euro has resumed its upward trend and is currently the most expensive currency in the parallel market, with an exchange rate of 773 CUP. This represents a 13-peso climb from the previous week, equivalent to a 1.7% rise.

The Cuban peso's value against the dollar also shows significant variation, with weekly fluctuations between 663 CUP and 678 CUP over the past month.
