Cuba's Informal Currency Market Sees Stability Amid Foreign Exchange Shortage
The informal currency market in Cuba has seen a day of stability on Tuesday, August 4. The US dollar remained unchanged at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP) since Monday and last week.
The euro also stayed steady at 785 CUP, continuing to be the most expensive currency in the informal market and surpassing the dollar by 112 pesos.
However, the freely convertible currency (MLC) saw a decrease of 38 pesos compared to the previous day, losing ground over the past week. Compared to a month ago, it has declined by 63.5 pesos.
