Cuba's Informal Market Sees Dollar and Euro Soar

The informal market in Cuba saw an upward trend on Saturday, September 12, as the U.S. dollar reached its highest recorded value in the last month. The currency is currently valued at 693 Cuban pesos (CUP), with a buying price around 690 CUP and a selling price of about 695 CUP.

This represents an increase of 5 pesos compared to the previous day, when the average exchange rate was 688 CUP. In a weekly perspective, the dollar has risen by 10 pesos compared to the 683 CUP recorded seven days ago.

The euro is also on the rise, quoted at 787 Cuban pesos (CUP), with a buying price of 785 CUP and a selling price of 789 CUP. This marks an increase of 2 pesos from the previous day's average value of 785 CUP.
