Cuba's Informal Market Sees Dollar Steady, Euro Rises
The informal currency exchange market in Cuba remained steady on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The U.S. dollar held its ground at 668 Cuban pesos (CUP), unchanged from the previous day's value.
However, the euro experienced a slight increase, trading at 758 CUP, up 2.5 pesos from the previous session. This marks an upward trend for the euro over the past week, as it has gained 6.5 pesos since last Wednesday.
The MLC also saw a minor increase, reaching approximately 471 CUP, although its trading activity remains limited, making its rate less representative of the market.
