Cuba's Informal Market Sees Stable US Dollar and Euro Rates
The informal currency market in Cuba closed on July 29, 2026, without any changes to its main references. The US dollar and euro ended the day at the same values they opened with.
The dollar remained stable, trading at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), unchanged from the previous day's close. This marks a streak of stability in recent hours.
In weekly comparison, the greenback has risen by 1.50 CUP compared to seven days ago, when it was exchanged at 671 CUP. Over 30 days, the dollar has increased by 62 CUP, from 611 CUP at the end of June to its current value.
The euro also remained unchanged, quoted at 785 CUP at the close of this session. On a weekly basis, it appreciates by 7.50 CUP compared to the 778 CUP recorded seven days ago.
