Currency Fluctuations Hit Kazakh Tenge and Euro
The Kazakh tenge has suffered a significant depreciation in value, falling by 2 percent and interrupting its recent growth. This sudden drop in value is part of a broader trend affecting multiple currencies, including the euro and Russian ruble.
According to data released by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and exchange points in Bishkek, the US dollar has maintained its position, while the Chinese yuan showed a slight decline. The official exchange rate for the US dollar is 87.45 soms, which remains unchanged from previous days.
The euro has also experienced a decrease in value, falling by 0.24 percent to an official exchange rate of 99.54 soms. Similarly, the Russian ruble could not maintain its growth from Friday and fell by 0.23 percent to an official exchange rate of 1.1158 soms.
