Cyprus Invites Public to Shape Future Euro Banknote Design
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has invited the public to participate in an online survey about the design of the next series of euro banknotes. The European Central Bank (ECB) has shortlisted ten design proposals based on two themes: 'European culture' and 'Rivers and birds.'
These designs were selected from over 1,200 entries submitted by graphic designers in an EU-wide competition. The online survey is open to citizens across Europe until September 21, 2026.
The ECB's Governing Council will decide on the final design later this year, taking into account the results of both surveys, the assessment of the competition jury, and a technical evaluation.
