DAX Index Pulls Back as Traders React to ECB Rate Decision and US Tariffs

Analysts expect the bank to benefit from ongoing M&A and IPO activity, which has driven peers like BNP Paribas and UniCredit to report strong numbers. Deutsche Bank's return on tangible equity (RoTE) rose to 12.7% from 11.9%, while revenue jumped to €8.7 billion and assets under management reached €1.8 trillion.
Adidas stock has also pulled back from its year-to-date high of €188 to €176.50, despite a 35% increase in value since its lowest point this year. The company's CFO stated that the World Cup was 'great' and boosted sales by four times more jerseys than at the last tournament.
German automakers have faced increased competition from Chinese firms like BYD and Xpeng, with Mercedes-Benz shares dropping 28% from their highest level this year, while BMW has declined 40% from its peak.
