JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has expressed support for Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's decision to reduce forward guidance on interest rates, a move that has been met with criticism from some analysts.

Dimon believes the Fed is doing what it needs to fight inflation, which hasn't been below its 2% target since February 2021.

In an interview with CNBC, Dimon stated that he 'thinks the world' of Warsh and thinks his approach makes 'tremendous sense.' He also acknowledged that the new chairman's decision to eliminate forward guidance may be uncomfortable for some analysts, but believes it will ultimately benefit the central bank.

Warsh has announced five task forces aimed at improving communication, data quality, balance sheet analysis, and examining inflation frameworks. Dimon expressed his support for these efforts, stating that they will 'do the right thing' over time.
