Dollar and Euro Hold Steady in Cuba's Informal Market
The U.S. dollar and euro maintained their stable positions in Cuba's informal currency market on Thursday, August 6, despite some fluctuation in recent days.
The USD closed at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), matching the rates from yesterday and a week ago, while the EUR remained steady at 785 CUP. The modest increase of 2.5 pesos for the dollar over the past month indicates sustained stability in the market.
On the other hand, the MLC showed a decline, closing at approximately 449 CUP with limited data available. Its value decreased by 1.5 pesos compared to this morning's opening and the previous day's rate.
