Dollar Edges Up on Crude Oil Rally and Stock Market Weakness
The US dollar saw a slight increase of +0.06% on Tuesday, as WTI crude oil prices rose more than +1% to a 1-week high.
This boost in crude oil prices raises inflation expectations and may persuade the Fed to tighten monetary policy, supporting the dollar.
The dollar also found support from weakness in stocks on Tuesday, which boosted liquidity demand for the currency.
