The National Bank of Ukraine is expected to maintain stability in the foreign exchange market through currency interventions. According to Taras Lesovyi, director of the Department of Financial Markets and Investment Activities at Globus Bank, the dollar exchange rate may rise to 45.5 hryvnias in August.

This forecast suggests that the euro will trade between 51-52.5 hryvnias during the same period. Lesovyi points out that international reserves exceeding $51 billion and inflows of financial aid are factors supporting stability in the foreign exchange market.

The expert notes, however, that external or internal changes could cause the dollar exchange rate to move outside its projected range. Factors influencing exchange rate dynamics include the course of the war, intensity of shelling, fuel imports, global oil prices, and the euro-to-dollar exchange rate on international markets.
