Dollar Falls Below 100 as Metals Rise Amid Mixed Economic Signals
The US dollar index fell by 0.83% to 99.98 overnight, breaking below the 100 integer level and posting a three-day losing streak.
This decline was partly due to lower-than-expected US economic growth in Q2, which stood at an annualized real GDP of 1.5%, below market expectations.
In contrast, consumer spending and business investment remained strong, partially offsetting external pressures.
