Dollar Flat Ahead of Inflation Data Amid Ongoing Middle East Tensions
The US dollar traded relatively flat on Wednesday as currency markets await the release of inflation data from the US. The dollar's stability comes despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, where renewed attacks on shipping have caused concern.
The yen held steady against the dollar at 159.275 yen, which is around its weakest level for the month. This follows joint intervention by US and Japanese authorities to strengthen the Japanese currency last week.
The euro also remained relatively stable at $1.1542, showing little reaction to market tensions.
