The Ukrainian currency market saw some movement on July 21, as the US dollar gained ground against the hryvnia while the euro declined. The dollar rose by 3 kopiyky to reach a high of 44.76 hryvnias by the end of trading, after opening at 44.70/44.73 hryvnias. In contrast, the euro fell by 1 kopiyka and closed at 51.07 hryvnias.

The cash market saw the hryvnia trading between 44.45-44.94 hryvnias against the dollar, while buying rates for the euro stood at 50.80 hryvnias and selling rates at 51.44 hryvnias. At currency exchange kiosks, the dollar changed hands at 44.77-44.80 hryvnias and the euro at 51.20-51.30 hryvnias.

The slight uptick in the dollar's value may indicate growing demand for the currency, possibly driven by economic forecasts or foreign investment flows. The decline of the euro could reflect conditions in European markets and affect trade with EU nations.
