Dollar Hits Two-Week High Amid Rising Oil Prices, Fed Rate Decision Looms
The US dollar has reached a two-week high, trading at 99.55 against a basket of currencies.
This comes as rising oil prices pushed up Treasury yields, strengthening the view that the Federal Reserve will lift interest rates this week.
The euro weakened to $1.1538, while sterling softened to $1.3494.
The yen fell about 0.2% to $154.72, ahead of an anticipated Bank of Japan rate increase on Friday.
