Dollar Holds Steady Ahead of US Inflation Data Release
The dollar traded steadily at the start of the Asian session on Wednesday as markets awaited the release of US inflation data later in the day.
The yen was flat against the dollar at 159.275 yen, remaining near its weakest levels of the month despite recent joint intervention by US and Japanese authorities to strengthen the Japanese currency.
The euro held steady at $1.1542, while the British pound remained unchanged at $1.3508. The Australian dollar and New Zealand dollar were also level at $0.7064 and $0.5879 respectively.
