Dollar Index Climbs 0.23% as US Currency Gains Against Peers
The US dollar saw an increase in late trading on Tuesday, according to market data.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose by 0.23% to 99.616 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
The euro lost ground to 1.1543 US dollars from 1.1557 dollars in the previous session, while the British pound dropped to 1.3481 dollars from 1.3511 dollars.
