Dollar Index Falls as Euro and Pound Gain Against US Currency

The US dollar weakened on Wednesday in late trading, falling to 98.833 against six major peers.

The euro saw an increase, reaching 1.1674 dollars, up from 1.1576 dollars in the prior session.

The British pound also rose to 1.3607 dollars, higher than its previous close of 1.3534 dollars.
