Dollar Index Jumps Amid Broad Market Decline
The US dollar experienced an uptick in late trading on Thursday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose by 0.32 percent to 101.445 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
In contrast, the euro and British pound decreased against the US dollar, with the euro falling to 1.1377 dollars from 1.1411 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound dropping to 1.3318 dollars from 1.3373 dollars.
