Dollar Index Plunges to Lowest Level This Year
The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Tuesday, falling to 99.858 at 15:00 (1900 GMT) on the dollar index.
The dollar's decline was reflected in its value against several major currencies, including the euro and British pound.
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1533 dollars from 1.1514 dollars in the previous session, while the British pound was up to 1.3452 dollars from 1.3431 dollars.
