Dollar Pauses Ahead of Key US Jobs Report
The US Dollar (USD) is trading lower against the Swiss Franc (CHF) on Friday, with the USD/CHF pair moving towards 0.8100 after Thursday's high of 0.8136 was rejected.
Despite being on track for a 0.3% rally this week, investors are being cautious ahead of the key US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report release.
Analysts at Deutsche Bank expect only a modest improvement in July's payrolls, forecasting 'a slight uptick in headline (+65k forecast vs. +57k previously) and private (+65k vs. +49k) payrolls.'
The recent slowing in hiring momentum is expected to be reflected in the data, with readings below the 3- and 6-month moving averages.
In Switzerland, the SECO Consumer Climate Index showed a slight improvement to -35 in Q3 from -40 in the previous quarter, but this had little impact on the Swissie.
