Dollar Reaches Near Two-Week High as Euro and Sterling Weaken
The US dollar has reached near a two-week high on Tuesday, according to the latest data.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of currencies, stood at 99.55.
Against the euro, the dollar was slightly stronger at $1.1538, while sterling followed suit at $1.3494.
However, the yen pulled back from its seven-month high by roughly 0.2%, last trading at 154.72 ahead of a Bank of Japan rate hike announcement on Friday.
