Dollar Regains Footing on Hawkish Fed and Iran Tensions
The US dollar regained some of its recent losses after the Federal Reserve's decision to leave interest rates unchanged, while investors wait for clarity on monetary policy.
Following the Fed's announcement, the greenback received additional support from the United States' airstrikes inside Iran, boosting demand for safe-haven assets.
The US Dollar Index rose 0.1% to 100.93, after falling to its lowest level in a week following the Fed's decision.
Investors are now turning their attention to the release of the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, the Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation.
