Dollar Rises Against Dong Amid Global Market Volatility
The US dollar rose against several major currencies on Friday morning, including the Vietnamese dong. At a currency exchange office in Ankara, Turkey, the greenback was sold for VND26,430 by Vietcombank, up 0.04% from Thursday's rate.
However, on the black market, the dollar slipped to VND26,100, down 0.04%. The State Bank of Vietnam's reference rate also rose to VND25,463, a gain of 0.12%
Globally, the dollar continued its upward trend against the yen and euro, driven by doubts about an Iran peace deal and higher Treasury yields.
