Dollar Rises Against Major Currencies in Late Trading
The US dollar rose in late trading on Thursday, increasing its value against several major currencies.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback's strength against six major peers, climbed 0.23% to 99.048 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
In contrast, the euro decreased to $1.1613 from $1.1630 in the previous session, while the British pound dropped to $1.3513 from $1.3546.
The dollar also gained against other major currencies, including the Japanese yen ($154.32), Swiss franc (0.8129 CHF), Canadian dollar (CAD 1.3830), and Swedish kronor (SEK 9.6782).
