Dollar Slips Below 100 as US-Iran Negotiations Fuel Market Optimism
The US dollar index (DXY) has slipped below the 100 mark, and despite ongoing fluctuations in headlines surrounding US-Iran talks, market sentiment remains optimistic. This optimism is fueled by anticipation of a potential breakthrough in negotiations.
Qatar's indication that a new draft agreement is being finalized has strengthened market confidence. As a result, US equity indices are pushing towards fresh record highs, with the Dow Jones trading above 53,300 and the S&P 500 near 7,630.
The Nasdaq is also rebounding, having broken above the 29,000 mark. However, elevated Treasury yields and persistent inflation concerns remain significant risks until a lasting security framework is established between the US and Iran.
