Dollar Slumps Against Dong Amid Global Rate Path Uncertainty
The US dollar experienced a decline against the Vietnamese dong on Monday morning, with Vietcombank selling the greenback at VND26,320, down 0.34% from the previous weekend.
The currency also fell to around VND25,830 on the black market, representing a 0.65% drop.
The State Bank of Vietnam raised its reference rate by another 0.1% to VND25,491, while globally, the US dollar hovered near a two-month low against major currencies due to investors awaiting this week's inflation data for clues on the Federal Reserve's rate path.
