Dollar Stabilizes in Cuba's Informal Market as Euro Declines
The informal currency market in Cuba closed on Saturday, August 8, with stable and fluctuating exchange rates. The U.S. dollar remained unchanged at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), while the euro declined to 781 CUP, a 2.5 peso decrease from the previous day.
In comparison to seven days ago, the euro has lost 4.5 pesos, but it still holds its dominant position in the Cuban parallel market, surpassing the dollar by 108 pesos.
The Moneda Libre de Circulación (MLC) saw an increase of 8 pesos compared to the previous session, reaching a value of 461 CUP, although this figure is considered indicative due to low trading volume.
