Dollar Steadies Ahead of Fed Decision as Energy Prices Weaken Inflation Fears

The US Dollar has given up its early gains against the Swiss Franc, trading flat around 0.8184 as traders become cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy announcement on Wednesday.

This comes after a strong start to the day, with USD/CHF reaching an intraday high of 0.8205, its highest level since June 2025.

The Greenback has weakened due to lower energy prices following a pause in attacks between the United States and Iran, which have eased inflation concerns and dragged US Treasury yields lower.

The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index fell to 90.8 in July from an upwardly revised 92.2 in June, offering little support for the US economy.
