Dollar Steady as Oil Prices Ease, but Middle East Tensions Persist
The US Dollar (USD) held steady against the Swiss Franc (CHF) on Friday as oil prices eased, but Middle East tensions and hawkish Federal Reserve expectations kept a floor under the Greenback.
The USD/CHF pair traded around 0.8166, down from its high of 0.8185 since June 2025, while the US Dollar Index (DXY) dipped 0.10% to 101.35.
In a statement that may ease concerns about oil supplies, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin assured US President Donald Trump that their countries would not supply weapons to Iran, according to Trump's post on Truth Social.
Oil prices, however, remain near 25% higher this month due to the ongoing Middle East conflict threatening shipping through key waterways.
