Dollar Steady, Euro Edges Up in Cuban Informal Market
The Cuban informal currency market wrapped up its activities on Tuesday, August 25, with a relatively tranquil scene. The US dollar remained steady at 668 Cuban pesos, while the euro experienced a minor rise to 755 pesos.
The dollar's stability is notable, especially considering the limited supply of currency in Cuba. It held its ground despite some fluctuations over the past month, ranging from a low of 663 pesos to a high of 674 pesos.
The euro, on the other hand, saw a slight increase of 2.5 pesos from the previous day's rate. Its weekly decline was minor, but it has decreased more significantly over the past month, dropping from 789 pesos to its current rate.
