Dollar Strengthens Against Dong Amid Global Market Stability
The US dollar strengthened against the Vietnamese dong on Wednesday morning, while trading relatively firm against major currencies globally.
In Vietnam, the greenback rose to VND26,410 at Vietcombank, a 0.008% increase from Tuesday's rate. On the black market, it inched up by 0.04% to around VND26,357.
The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted its reference rate upwards by 0.008% to VND25,153, while globally, the dollar maintained stability against major peers after the US launched strikes against Iran. Market participants await key US inflation data for clues on the Federal Reserve's policy path.
