Dollar Struggles at Six-Week Low Amid Iran Deal Uncertainty
The US dollar continues to hover near its six-week low as traders await further news on a proposed US-Iran deal and Friday's US jobs report. The yen, which had strengthened after Japan's recent intervention, gave back some of its gains and is now trading at 157.88 per US dollar.
The dollar index edged up 0.1% to 99.76, but remains below its highs. Brent crude oil prices remain steady around $79.50 a barrel, near levels last seen in June when the US and Iran reached an interim peace agreement.
