Dollar Surges Against Major Peers Amid Elevated Inflation Concerns
The U.S. dollar strengthened in late trading on Wednesday, rising to its highest level against six major peers.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback's value against these currencies, climbed 0.25% to 99.165 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
This gain pushed the euro down to $1.1651 from its previous session high of $1.1674, and the British pound fell to $1.3592 from $1.3646.
