Dollar Unfazed by Inflation Data Meeting Expectations

The US dollar's performance was largely unchanged after the release of July inflation data, which met market expectations.

Headline and core inflation rates for July were in line with forecasts, resulting in relatively low volatility in markets. This is unusual for mid-August, when activity tends to be lower due to seasonal factors.

The annual headline inflation rate decreased slightly to 3.4% in July, with a decrease in fuel prices contributing to the drop. However, other major components of inflation, such as rents and food, remained largely unchanged or saw minimal changes from the previous month.
