The dollar weakened against major currencies in Tokyo foreign exchange trading on February 19th. USD/JPY traded around 159.49 yen, down from an earlier high of 159.64 yen. The pair's price action suggests selling pressure intensified after the early morning rally.

EUR/JPY also climbed to 184.79 yen before losing momentum and falling to 184.64 yen by 9:00 a.m. Meanwhile, EUR/USD advanced from $1.1569 to $1.1579 and continues to hold near its highs.

The yen gained ground against both the dollar and the euro, while the euro also firmed against the dollar. Market participants note that the dollar faces resistance on the upside against both the yen and the euro, with selling pressure remaining a key consideration in the upper-159 yen range for USD/JPY.
