Dollar-Yen Stuck in Range Around Mid-163 Yen Amid Eased Middle East Tensions

The dollar-yen exchange rate remained stagnant around the mid-163 yen level in Tokyo's foreign exchange market on the 27th, as Middle East tensions eased and concerns about potential Japanese currency intervention kept investors cautious.

Despite a slight decrease in uncertainty surrounding the Middle East situation, softness in U.S. long-term interest rates and fears of currency intervention by Japan's monetary authorities held back aggressive yen-selling activity.

The dollar-yen pair hovered within an extremely narrow range between 163.45 yen and 163.71 yen, continuing a directionless trend from the previous day's overseas session.
