DroneShield's financial results for the first half of 2026 have been met with skepticism by investors, despite posting record revenue. The Australian counter-drone specialist reported a statutory loss after tax of $32.2 million, a stark reversal from the $2.1 million profit in the same period last year.

The company's revenue hit a record $125.8 million Australian dollars, up 74 percent year-on-year, but this was accompanied by a deepening loss and an underlying EBITDA swing to minus $12.4 million.

Management attributed the red ink to costs associated with scaling up operations, including the move into a new production facility and one-off impairment charges that are expected to fade in the second half of the year.
