Easing Inflation Triggers Euro Zone Bond Yield Decline
The euro zone government bond yields dropped on Wednesday after the US inflation data showed a slowdown in July. The US inflation rate stood at 3.4% year-over-year, down from 3.5% in June and matching economist forecasts.
This reduction in inflation has led to lower US Treasury yields. Meanwhile, the oil price remained stable, with Brent crude staying flat at $88.90 per barrel.
Investors are now looking forward to the August inflation data, which is expected to be carefully examined by the Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee before its next interest rate decision in September.
