ECB Invites Public Vote on New Banknote Designs Featuring Da Vinci and Curie
The European Central Bank has launched a public vote on new banknote designs featuring iconic figures from history. The competition, open until mid-September, invites the public to choose their favorite design from ten striking concepts.
The culture-themed series honors six influential individuals: Leonardo da Vinci, Ludwig van Beethoven, Marie Curie, Maria Callas, Bertha von Suttner, and Miguel de Cervantes. Each design variant showcases unique layouts and aesthetic choices, infusing fresh energy into classic portraits.
The public can explore all ten designs on the bank's website and cast their vote until mid-September. The chosen concept will undergo further review before its official adoption.
