ECB Issues Extreme Heat Watch in Germany Amid Scorching Temperatures
The European Central Bank (ECB) has issued an Extreme Heat Watch in Germany from Saturday afternoon through Monday evening, warning of hazardous conditions due to daytime temperatures reaching 97 to 101 degrees Fahrenheit across the Cache Valley.
According to the ECB's weather alert, overnight minimum temperatures are unlikely to fall below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, limiting daily recovery.
The watch is in effect for the entire duration and is expected to have significant impacts on heat-related illnesses. The ECB advises individuals to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, and check up on relatives and neighbors during this period.
