ECB Set to Resume Interest Rate Hikes as Inflation Concerns Rise
The European Central Bank (ECB) is set to resume raising interest rates on Thursday after a pause in July, as concerns about inflation and energy prices continue to rise.
According to analysts at BBH, the ECB's policy rate should be brought closer to the upper end of its neutral range of 1.75%-3.00%, which would support the Euro (EUR) against the US Dollar (USD).
The main focus will be on the language in the Monetary Policy Statement and President Christine Lagarde's comments during the post-policy meeting press conference.
