ECB Survey: Stable Inflation Expectations, Revised Downward GDP Growth Projections
The European Central Bank's Survey of Professional Forecasters for Q3 2026 has been released, providing insights into inflation, GDP growth, and unemployment expectations.
The survey indicates that headline inflation expectations remain stable at 2.7% for 2026, 2.2% for 2027, and 2.0% for 2028.
Core inflation projections have been revised upward to 2.4% for 2026, 2.2% for 2027, and 2.1% for 2028.
GDP growth expectations were revised downward, with respondents forecasting a growth rate of 0.6% in 2026, 1.2% in 2027, and 1.3% in 2028.
