Egyptian Pound Loses Ground Against Key Currencies in Official Trading
The Egyptian Pound has seen significant losses against major currencies as of Thursday's trading session. According to data from the Central Bank of Egypt, the local currency has slipped against several key assets.
The U.S. dollar has risen to EGP 51.27 for buying and EGP 51.37 for selling, marking a notable increase. The euro has also gained ground, reaching EGP 59.59 to buy and EGP 59.80 to sell. Additionally, the British pound now trades at EGP 69.37 for buying and EGP 69.66 for selling.
The Central Bank of Egypt's data shows that major Gulf currencies have also recorded higher official rates against the Egyptian Pound. This includes the Saudi riyal, which has increased to EGP 13.65 for buying and EGP 13.68 for selling.
