Emmi Exceeds Expectations with Strong First-Half Growth
Swiss dairy processor Emmi has reported strong growth in the first half of 2026, exceeding expectations. Revenue rose by 2.2% to 2.32 billion Swiss francs, with organic growth reaching 3.6%. The company attributed this growth to its home market of Switzerland, where fresh and cheese products, as well as new offerings in functional nutrition, were in high demand.
Emmi's performance varied by region, with the Americas division achieving organic growth in line with the Group average. However, the US market fell short of expectations due to subdued consumer sentiment. In contrast, the Global Trade division outperformed the average, posting an impressive 10.1% organic growth.
Emmi also made progress in terms of earnings, with operating profit (EBIT) rising by 4.8% to 152.3 million Swiss francs. The EBIT margin improved to 6.6% from 6.4%, driven by sourcing initiatives, productivity gains, and price increases.
