Estonia Seeks Four-Year Tax Holiday Amid Economic Growth

The President of the Estonian Employers' Confederation and CEO of AS Infortar, Ain Hanschmidt, has called on the state to curb spending growth and establish a four-year period without new taxes or increases in the tax burden.

In his commentary, published in the 2026 Employers' Manifesto, Hanschmidt stated that Estonia's economy grew faster than the eurozone average in the first half of 2026, inflation is slowing, and investors have become more confident.

He noted that dialogue between the government and entrepreneurs has resumed and that some proposals from the manifesto four years ago are being implemented or have already been implemented.
