Ethereum Price Surge on Fed Rate Expectations and ETF Demand
Ethereum has begun the week on a positive note, trading around $2,490-$2,500 after a series of sessions stuck in a narrow range. The recent price action comes as investors reassess expectations for US monetary policy following Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller's comments.
Waller's remarks have reduced concerns about an immediate rate hike and improved sentiment across risk assets. Additionally, continued interest in US spot Ethereum ETFs has provided support to the cryptocurrency. Recent data showed strong weekly inflows of over $26 million on Friday, with total August inflows exceeding $218 million.
The technical picture remains cautious, however, as Ethereum has repeatedly traded between the low-$2,400s and the $2,500-plus region. A convincing move above $2,530 could attract fresh buying, while failure to break this resistance could send ETH back toward lower support levels.
