Ethereum Slips Below $2,500 Amid Strong US Jobs Data and Rate Hike Bets

Ethereum's price slipped below $2,500 on September 5 as investors reassessed their outlook for U.S. interest rates following a stronger-than-expected jobs report.

The latest employment data showed the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs in August, far above the 56,000 economists had expected.

This strong labour market reduced expectations for an immediate easing in monetary policy and increased the probability of a September rate hike.

Ethereum's recent rally has left it vulnerable to profit-taking, with some traders locking in their gains after the cryptocurrency reached a high near $2,546-$2,550.
