EU Economy Sees Modest Growth in Q2 2026
The European Union's economy has shown moderate growth in the second quarter of 2026. According to an estimate by Eurostat, seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the EU compared to the previous quarter.
This growth is a slight improvement from the first quarter, when GDP had remained stable in the euro area and increased by only 0.1% in the EU.
Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 1.2% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU.
